For some reason, I keep thinking of Frank Sinatra's song, because Lauris surely, surely "Did It Her Way." She met Life with All Flags Flying, and I am proud to have known her for 40 years. We shall not see one like her again.

Your zeal and tenacity overflows though my passions. Mom, your "can do" attitude and fearlessness taught me to be resilient. I am relieved you are no longer in pain. Free from the limited structure of a body, which your spirit out grew years ago, now is finally able to soar. I am honored to be your daughter. Love you.
