Nicholas Thalasinos, one of the 14 victims of Wednesday's mass shooting in San Bernardino, had a deep, spiritual relationship with his wife.

Hours after the shooting, his wife, Jennifer, changed her profile picture on Facebook to a photo of her and Thalasinos, a 52 year old who lived in Colton.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support his family.

According to its creator, 100 percent of monies raised will help his wife with funeral expenses and additional costs to "help her get back on her feet once she has come to grips with this tragedy."

Jennifer and Nicholas met through an online community dedicated to the 1980s CBS series, "Beauty and the Beast," according to the page. The couple shared a love for science fiction and fantasy and had a "very deep, spiritual relationship."

"They went through quite a lot in their 14 years together, loss, health issues, but always had each other to depend on," it said. "Jenn is going to be going through more than we'll ever be able to understand and hope this will help ease her life just a little."

As of Thursday afternoon, the fundraising effort has raised more than $2,300. The goal is $10,000.
