Dear Jan & Richard & all the family~

Our hearts are saddened beyond words. As you know, we have been life long friends with your beloved Dad – he's been more than a friend, he's been family to us. There are no words to describe Ron for none would do justice. He was our true friend thru life's ups and downs, and we thank God for his sense of humor which kept us in stitches and was always the best medicine. On the job he went the extra mile to negotiate and preserve the rights, benefits and dignity of the working person – union members have Ron to thank. On that note, he's probably busy in heaven organizing the unorganized – that would be a priority! We knew him as a loving and devoted husband and father, and he was extremely proud of all of you. Did you know that Ron even shared memories and photos of most of you long before we had the pleasure of meeting in person? To Ron, it was all about family - that makes for a great man, and his grandchildren & great grandchildren were his bright spot in life, no secret there!

We closed every telephone conversation, or email exchange with the words: “God Bless the Italians” so it is only fitting that our farewell wish be the same. Rest in peace, dear friend, and “God Bless the Italians”!

With our love and prayers for God's comfort and strength at this most difficult time,

Your friends in Pittsburgh, PA
