Barbara Honicker Obituary
Barbara was born in Pottsville, Nov. 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Neiewender Thompson.
Barbara graduated from Cressona High School in 1958.
She was the widow of William T. Honicker Sr.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Fellowship Church Cressona.
She worked as a waitress and candymaker.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Thompson.
Barbara is survived by a sister, Janice Miller, Nevada; two daughters, Tammy, wife of Val Cobos, Plano, Texas; Michelle Hasenauer, Lake Wynonah; two sons, Harold Skip Heffner, Florida, Ronald, husband of Lora Heffner, Lake Wynonah.
She was the former wife of Thomas Heffner, Florida.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Gerloff, Harold Heffner and Brianna and Katie Hasenauer; a great-grandson, Michael; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, 26 Chestnut St., Cressona. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. The Rev. Dr. Christopher Fisher will officiate. Interment services will be at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona. Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, has been entrusted with arrangements, with cremation services provided by Riverside Cremation Services LLC, Schuylkill Haven. Very sorry to see that Barb has passed away. We spent many an hour playing together when we were kids as Barb lived in front of us on Second Street.
