I have a great story about Bryan. It was about 20 years ago when I was young and crazy. Fran and I went to visit with Nancy and Bryan at their home. Bryan had me in the barn on some type of latter swatting at bats. It was so histerical. He got the biggest kick out of me screaming. I will always remember him as a trouble maker.

Bryan helped me build cabinets in the back of my truck one summer. It took us hours and hours. He showed me how to use each tool and how to build it myself. He never said "Let me do it" or "you're doing it wrong". He just patiently taught me how to do it. After we had completed it I felt so good about myself because I had "done it myself". And I had felt so good because I had "done it with Bryans help". I'm sure he wanted to push me out of the way and do it himself, because he could do it so much faster. But he was so patient, no matter how long it would take, he let me learn and do it myself. He was a great teacher that way.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

I love you Dad!
