Dale was a mentor and friend to me during my years at SCSU and after. He holds the distinction of being the Instructor for more of my classes than any other. I am proud to hold the distinction of being the first to complete the Film Studies Minor program he created for SCSU. We spent countless hours together just talking, as well. I regret that it had been far too long since last we spoke. He was such an intelligent, honest, and kind hearted man. He has remained in my thoughts all these years and will be missed.

So sorry to hear we lost Dale. It was always great to see wonderful smile and happy outlook on things. We shared similar tastes for 'the finer things in life'.

Dale was one of the "good guys". As a colleague in the Performing Arts Center at SCSU from 1966 until his retirement we shared the arts, travel, music and opinions for all those years. I will miss him greatly.

Dale was a respected, articulate, inspirational professor and "theatretician," as we used the term, during the glory days of SCSU theatre. His lively, well-planned lessons and his conviviality made him a favorite among theatre majors. My sympathy.
