Dr. Dahlquist was my Dr. from 1971 until his retirement. He delivered my three children. He saw my family and me through many ups and downs. He was a gentle, caring Dr. with a good sense of humor. I knew he loved his wife and family, by the way he would mention them in conversation. Thank you, Dahlquist family, for sharing this wonderful man with us.
Dr. Dahlquist. Two words. True Gentleman.
Dear Harriet and Family,
Our loving thoughts and sympathy are with you during this difficult time of LaRue's passing.May the Lord provide His comfort to you all.
I knew Larue but a very short time, but I will always remember his smile. Deepest sympathy to Harriet. Davis from Windsor House in Delray Beach, Fl
My thoughts and prayers go out the family. Dr. Dahlquist brought me into the world in 1977 and was my Dr. into my teens. He was a great Dr. and my Mom had him for over 35 years. I can still picture him plain as day with his stethoscope around his neck. Stay strong! He will never be forgotten :)
My heartfelt sympathy to Harriet and the Dahlquist family. Larue touched so many lives, including mine. He will not be forgotten.
Dear Harriet and Family: As I read through these lovely tributes to LaRue, I am grateful that his love for all of God's children was his hallmark. My family knew the Dahlquist family in Laurel, Nebraska and I had the privilege of attending Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota with both of you. Our friendship has been a blessing these many years and over the miles. Please know that we are thanking God for the ministry of healing you have both showered on His children. May the Peace of God and the God of Peace be with you today and everyday.
Dear Harriet and Family,
The deep hurt and loss you and so many others feel are because God gave you and us a wonderful gift in LaRue. Great grief and thanksgiving are mixed now somehow. We rejoice in the reality of Resurrection as we look ahead. May God be your strength and confidence day by day. We have many loving memories of LaRue and give thanks through our tears. Loving hugs...
Dr. Dahlquist delivered me in 1978 and was my family's Dr forever. He was the sweetest, kindest , most compassionate man. I am so grateful for all the care and concern that he gave my dad while he was sick. His death leaves heartache to many...
LaRue,we will miss you. You were a great family doctor for our family over the years as well as a friend. MaryLee and I always felt very comfortable being seen by you and the bushel basket of common sense gave out. We could always count on you to see us in our times of need. Heaven has just gained a saint. Sorry we can't make the funeral but will be saying some prayers in rememberence of you.
I had the privledge of working with Dr. Dahlquist for a few short years. He was always the "gentle giant" in caring for his patients. Many years later, I ran into him, and he always remembered me in the times he saw me at the clinic. I pray for peace and healing for his family. I know this gentle man is at peace.
My heart aches over the loss of LaRue. He represents love and compassion. I will miss his soft kind words, his smile, laughter and hugs. Your loss is huge and your family is in my prayers moment by moment. Much love to each of you.
Dr. Dahlquist was our family physician thru 3 generations. I always called him "my Dr. Welby". We will miss him but we know we will be seeing him again one day! God Bless all of you!
I am so very saddend to hear of Dr. Dahlquists passing. He was my physician my entire life up until his retirement. He had such a kind heart and always listened. After my mom passed in 2004 he called my dad many times to see how he was doing and if there was anything he could do for him. I will be thinking and praying for healing for your family. God Bless.
So very sorry for "our" loss. He was a good doctor, a good friend and a GREAT Christian.
So shocked to hear that this dear man is gone. He was SUCH a blessing to our family! We'll be praying for Harriet and the rest of the family. Can't wait to see him again in heaven!
It was a great pleasure working with Dr. Dahlquist these many years. He was a great role model and truly a mentor to many of us at SCMG. I will never forget the kindness and time he took with me when I first started at the medical group. He will be missed.
Dr. Dahlquist was my doctor from 1973 until his retirement. They do not make doctors like Dr. D anymore! He always took the time to answer questions and ask about my Mom after she had cancer and didn't go to the Medical Group anymore. He called our house long after clinic hours were over when I had the Chicken Pox and was 9 weeks pregnant. He was also a wonderful Grandpa--I often saw him at school events in Foley that his grandkids were involved in. He will be missed my many. My sympathy to his entire family.
Dear Harriet and family, Words can't even begin to express the sadness we feel now. You have been such dear friends for so many years, and we will miss him terribly. Comfort comes in knowing he is safe in the arms of Jesus. We love you and will be here for you. Love, love, love, Elaine and Ron

I met Dr. Dahlquist working at the Pipestone Hospital when I was 17 years old. One night the doctors were at the hospital for a meeting, when I found out my uncle had just died. He was the only one who stopped to find out what was wrong and console me. That compassion epitomized his life. 45 years later we ended up attending the same church in St Cloud, and we had the privilege of calling him our friend. A wonderful man, beloved by all who knew him! Harriet, we will take care of you...we love you!
You're in our thoughts and prayers, Phil. We are deeply sorry for your loss. Let us know if you need ANYTHING.

What a very sad and difficult time for your family.
Blessed is the man who walks with the Lord. And that he did no matter where he was or who he was with, he related to them with the compassion of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His shining example of a Christian who walked with the Lord every moment of his day. And he frequently shared his faith with those who very sick or dying. He was a Christian first, a loving husband, and a very patient father to his own children and grandchildren, but also to those children of friends and family. His gentle, kind, compassionate personality and never ending smile will be greatly missed. Just the touch of his hand brought peace and calm into situations of life that were full of trials and tribulations. Harriet, you were a big part of his life and helped to mold him into the wonderful man he was to all people. Thank you for sharing him with so many people through his medical practice. I am sorry that the retirements years were few, but we know they were precious to the two of you. Our hearts go out to you during this time of loss. May what you had as a couple continue to be passed on through you Harriet. We love you and pray God's peace be with you.

Dr. Dahlquist was a Dr. who not only cared for his patients, but also cared for the families of his patients....the Community has lost a wonderful man.
Harriet and Family:
Words cannot describe the respect and gratitude I feel for Dr. Dahlquist. and how saddened we are to hear of his passing. What an amazing man and compassionate physician. For over 30 years he was our family physician, delivering two of our three daughters. Our middle daughter born December 30, 1988 was Dr. D's very last delivery as he had decided to no longer deliver babies after January 1, 1989, we cherish that special memory. I also had the privilege of working with Dr. Dahlquist at the clinic for over 15 years. He had a way of making everyone feel important and special and if there was someone you needed to talk to, he was there to listen. Our prayers and condolences are with the entire Dahlquist family at this time of loss.
We will miss Dr Dahlquist dearly!!!!! He is with Jesus! Mark and Julie Ann (Mockenhaupt) Euteneuer

Thinking of the entire Dahlquist family - may he rest in Peace!
Dr. Dahlquist always made time to bless others with his words and his time. Whether he walked out to say "How are you?" when I dropped Alec off from a ride, or visited with my 83-year-old dad for an hour at my son's grad party, Dr. Dahlquist always treated others like they were important. I am praying for his family and the loss of this faithful man.

Dr. Dahlquist was the kindness most caring doctor I ever had the honor of seeing. I was shocked when mom told me this morning. I saw him for 20 years, as a kid growing up and early adulthood. My parents are both shaken up today, because he was not only the family doctor but also a dear trusted friend. My dad just said to me a couple weeks back, that Dr. Dahlquist was the best doctor he ever had know and missed him not being in practice. May God bless the family with comfort, when they think of all the wonderful things he was part of and the numerous lives he made better.
