He always had a smile on his face and made you feel welcome. He will be missed greatly by everyone here at the lake. We know his kindness and warmth will live on in you. Deb, Zach, Drew... our love and friendship for Leon started back in the days when Leon was a tall, skinny 15 old kid that played baseball with Dean in Sauk Rapds......then boys being born, Leon being a part of the "Village People", teaching and coaching with Dean, to seeing his wonderful smile and personality when I would stop by the fishing department just to say "hi". Dean & I have wonderful memories of Leon that will be with us always. Sending our love and support for all of you now and in the days ahead.

Leon will truly be missed. He impacted the lives of so many students through his incredible teaching and coaching. I can only picture him laughing that great laugh of his and bringing joy to all he met. So sorry for this loss of such a wonderful man...
