Geneva Schreiber, age 93, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Joseph Herzing officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls.
Geneva Clara Fuchs was born on January 4, 1920, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota the daughter of Michael & Elizabeth (Schmitt) Fuchs. As a child, she moved with her family to Grand Forks, ND. Geneva graduated from Sacred Heart High School in East Grand Forks, College of St. Benedict and Loyola School of Nursing in Chicago. Geneva worked for 24 years in the nursing field at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls where she held a number of positions. She was united in marriage to Donald Schreiber on July 7, 1962. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls and the Christian Mothers. Geneva enjoyed needlework, sewing, and volunteering at St. Otto's and Alverna Apartments. Through her kindness and passion for helping people that she developed during her nursing years, she was able to minister to many people in her retirement.
Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews and close friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Michael & Elizabeth (Schmitt) Fuchs; husband, Donald Schreiber; brothers, William and Arnold and Fr. Athanase (Edwin) Fuchs, OSB and sister, Sr. Mary Michaela (Cecilia) Fuchs, OSB and twin sister, Sr. Mary Magdalen (Genevieve) Fuchs of the Poor Clares.
Arrangements are with Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN.
