It has been an honor knowing Bill Hadley, first as a kid growing up down the street and later, as an adult. His friendship with our dad, Dave Richardson, lasted a lifetime. His kindness and faithfulness to his church, his scouts, his friends, and I trust, to his family was a true gift. Though we can't be with you, our thoughts and prayers are extended to Ethel and the family.. Kathy and Alan Rither

One of our favorite "Dadisms" was "We raised you kids to think for yourselves; now we have to live with it". The gift of independent thinking was one of the best things my Dad taught us. He modeled it well over his 91+ years.

My scoutmaster in troop 300 in the 60s.
A real nice guy and a wonderful friend.
He had not a bad word for anyone.
I have not seen him in 40+ years, but his actions still guide me.

At the end of his life, our dad had nothing left but gratitude. He repeatedly told all who would listen that being with our mom was the best thing that ever happened to him.
