Hearing of Rudy's death has taken me back to some very significant moments in my life over twenty years ago, when as a newly ordained deacon he opened his arms to me and gave me a place to be engaged in ministry. He was a wonderful model and mentor during my first year and his final year of active parish ministry. I will forever be grateful to him.
