I was young... Working for him. He was amazing. Always up and up. Walking the stairs on his hands. Blew me away as a kid. I was young, but respected him and his courtesy towards me. Haven't seen him in 30 yrs sorry it won't come to be again. Be peaceful all! Don had/made a great life for those who allowed it.

"Nothing fazed him, no insult or anger or violence or getting his face beat into a hamburger. He was a true businessman.
He knew the value of everything." Robert Penn Warren, "All The King's Men"

Dear Eric and Anna,

I will always remember the early years when
your Dad and I would fly to New York to
meet with Styvesant Insurance. In those days your Dad was in incredible shape and
enjoyed walking on his hands. I still remember the look on everyone's face when he walked on his hands down the aisle of the
airplane we were taking to New York,

Your Dad was his own person and supremely
confident of his abilities as well he should have been.

I too remember how much he loved the newspaper and how proud he was when you
installed the first mammoth computer. Today
a laptop probably has more power. But he was always on the leading edge of everything
he did.

And finally he was a kind and gentle spirit
who left this world a much better place than
when he arrived.

I was blessed to know him and call him my
friend.

God Bless

Chuck Meyer

I will never forget the Christmas party you had for our boys, the mentor you were to my husband, the friend you were to me. You were loved, admired, and respected. Thank-you.
