My condolences to George, John and family. I will miss the phone conversations I had with my Aunt Betty, and will fondly remember the visits she and John made to Canada.

George and John, Sorry to read about the loss of your Mom. My memory of her is as my violin teacher as part of my very short (2 years??) tenure in the Maple Leaf Elementary School orchestra. She always has a distinct presenceher good posture (from her own musical training?), the colorful dresses she always wore for my practices she held in your guys' home on NE 95th, and her seriousness attitude toward music. I enjoyed seeing her and George about 5 years ago. Best to you both. Dick Callahan

To Betty's family..............
We knew Betty as a sweet neighbor here at
The Lakeshore. So sorry to read of her
passing and want you to know you have
our sincere sympathy. But our faith that
she is at rest with our Lord can give us
comfort too. Florita & Ervin Skov #209

George, not sure if you remember me, but I remember meeting your Mom at school events and was impressed with her warmth and kindness. I also remember your humor and a specific comment you made once about my sister who (for some unknown reason) was calling out the time on the playground. Your response was, "Who does she think she is, Big Ben?" which obviously stuck with me the past half-century. May you be comforted in your loss by your memories of your Mom. Sincerely, Cathy (Notkin) Hayashi
