Brady Michael Douglas
To say that Brady was a character is an understatement. He had a great sense of humor and found irony in everything. Brady was born Nov. 17, 1969, in Seattle, and passed away on May 8, 2014, in McAllen, Texas.
After graduating from Shorecrest
HS, Brady attended EWU, where he majored in Communications and was in Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Most of his career he was a TV news reporter and anchorman. Later, he worked as a physicians' liaison in Brownsville, TX.
Brady is survived by his nieces Shannon and Samantha, brothers Steve and Dave, aunts, cousins, sisters-in-law, and many close friends. He will be reunited with family members, including his father Don, mother Deanie, sister Stacey and brother Bo.
You left us way too soon.
We love you Brady.

Something brought Brady to mind today. Unable to find him on Facebook (we were friends).. I did some checking and found this. I helped Brady early in his career, back in Spokane and am very saddened to hear this. I have no idea of what happened or the details but my thoughts and prayers will be with his family today.

I am so sad to hear of Brady's passing. When I met Brady, I was a freshman and he was a senior. He was so thoughtful to me and my friends. He even let me use his Scirocco to pass my driving test! My mom thought he was so charming and they continued to keep in contact after he graduated. I have happy memories of Brady and he will be missed.

God's speed Brady. No one loved the sun more than you. Whidbey condo days and playing pickleball out in Lake Forest Park were great times. You will be missed.

I remember Brady as a funny and gentle kid throughout middle and high schools. His good nature and good looks made him a beloved classmate of many. My condolences to his loved ones.

Brady was always among my favorites of my son Aaron's classmates; always a smile, always a happy presence and always polite to a fault. My enduring memory of Brady was on the occasion of one of his sleepovers at our house when he and Aaron were to go skiing the next morning. Brady came running upstairs during breakfast to report that Aaron had "hurt himself", something of an understatement since Aaron had managed to perforate an artery with his ski pole, necessitating an aid car, no skiing that day, and subsequent vascular surgery. Brady was right at my side the whole time as I administered first aid to Aaron. We thought very much of Brady and we are saddened at his passing. Our heartfelt best wishes and sympathy to the family he leaves behind.

When Brady came to live with Steve and I during June of 2009, it was high school graduation time, and I was the selected staff speaker at my high school's graduation ceremony.
Brady was adamant that he wanted to come and hear my speech. I was nervous, but was happy for the support. Brady, of course, said I was awesome. He was in awe of all of our graduates, and I introduced him to many of them after the ceremony. There was a group of teenage girls who surrounded Brady. They thought he was SO CUTE! They said he looked like Elvis! I asked them if he looked like the young Elvis, or the older Elvis... and they all exclaimed, "The young Elvis for sure!" Brady turned the most beautiful color of red, underneath his very tan skin. I could tell he was very complimented, and a little embarrassed too. ;>)

Brady most recently worked for Sunglo Home Health Services in Brownsville, TX. He was a physician liaison, working with families who had sick relatives. A perfect job for him. His supervisors and co-workers at Sunglo had their own private memorial for Brady and sent us a link to a video they created in his honor. We want to share that with you:

Brady was and still is such a great guy i met while he was living in the Rio GRANDE Valley. He and I go as far back as 2003.I owned a business and he and I were such wonderful friends. He and I went to several movies and shared our common sarcasm. He nick named me LOUDA...I miss him so very much. My greatest memory was me RENTING our favorite bar and shutting it down for a couple of hours to have a private dinner for his birthday...I really loved him and am going to miss my bestfriend. No one can replace his sweetness and no one can ever take his place...Missing you bunches. And as my favorite guy used to say XOXOXO always in my heart LAURA

Brady has always been like a second son to us. Growing up I think he spent as much time at our house as he did his own and he always called to wish me Happy Mother's Day wherever he was. We'll treasure the wonderful memories we have of our times together. We will miss you Brady!

One of my favorite memories of Brady is hanging out on the beach in Corpus Christi with my late friend Steve (Bey) Alexander and Brady, and having Brady hoping for a fire or a truck crashing into a church or some other disaster, so that he'd have something to report on the news that evening. Sure enough, later on when we were watching the television in a bar, there was Brady on the evening news, reporting from the scene of a blazing church fire. When he joined us later at the bar, we were all in stitches (not about the church, of course).
