Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your dear love one. “And no resident will say: I am sick…” Isa 33:24. This is a promise God has made known in his word. Perhaps one day in the divine future you or I may see again those fallen from our lives due to a sickness or illness that led to an untimely death. Prayers go out to the surviving family and friends may the God of comfort continue to bless you and yours.

Brenda called following Gordon's death. We (Carol and I were college classmates @ Pacific University) had not seen, talked with or heard from Gordon for many years. We kept track through Roger Anderson and their e-mail correspondence. Gordon was a good friend in college....very very talented. We co-edited a Pacific University yearbook in 1959. The picture of Gordon in his "early days" was one that I took during the period of my life that I was a professional photographer. My best to Gordon's family.

It was wonderful to read all the memories of, and the fondness for, Gordon . . I guess I shouldn't have felt surprised that others felt the way I did. I first knew Gordy when I started working on First Hill and he came in as a new patient. His personality was such that we became friends beyond the professional side. His humor, warmness, appreciation of music, civic responsibility and fun in general is something I will never forget. I will miss him .. his e-mail messages, jokes and just knowing him was my great pleasure. He was a friend.

I wish to say goodbye to my special friend. Gordon and I worked together for many years. He was an expert in his field. We also enjoyed many great times. He is so missed.
