I always smiled when Dr Carlson walked through the door of my business. He would tell all about his family and his latest adventure with great enthusiasm. I will miss his visits. My sincere condolences to the family.
To Gina, Dona and family,
So sorry to learn of your dad's/
husband's passing. I hope
you find comfort in all your memories of great times with him. Happy for you that he was with you for Gina's wedding.
He'll always be in your heart.
I had the pleasure and blessing to have gotten to know Dr. Carlson over the past year. He always brought a smile and a laugh to our conversations. I know he's now at the big fishing hole in heaven. My condolences to Dr. Seely and the rest of Curt's family.
You were a good friend and caring dentist for all of my family. You are very much missed.
I recently found out that we lost my favorite orthodontist, periodontist, dentist. I trusted him from my first appointment that was over 25 years ago and have continually visited him even if just for a visit every August. I'm not sure what I am going to do this year. I think of him every time when one compliments me about my teeth and when I brush and floss! I'm really going to miss him, his humor and most of all his caring for me and all his patients. Rest in peace!
To you, who lit up the whole building, inside and out - everyday.
It has been one week since I received the letter from my dearest Dr. Carlson's office, giving me the worst news ever. I am still devastated. I think of Dr. Carlson everyday. I had a special affinity, trust and love for him that made having a brace adjustment/implant surgery something to even look forward to!! He was funny too. On the morning of my implant surgery, I'd jokingly said that I may need a priest to do the last rites, and that morning he'd brought a vase full of beautiful spring flowers into the room (just in case I needed them on my casket!!). Oh Dr. Carlson, whatever will I do without you?? You are one of a kind, and I am so incredibly honored and blessed, not just to have known you, but to have been your patient for over twenty years. I will love you forever, and I hope you're not making too much trouble in heaven...
Curt was an amazing, entertaining and generous fraternity brother at Augustana College. We enjoyed skiing trips in Wisconsin and countless social events around the Quad Cities area.
Our family has known Dr Carlson for about 20 years! He did both our boys orthodontia and periodontal work on my husband and me over the years. He was a charismatic and warmhearted man, who always took an interest in our family, which is so rare, nowadays. We saw Dr. Carlson just three weeks before his passing and had no idea it was going to be the last time. Our boys are heartbroken as we are. Our deepest condolences go to his family! He was a great man!
Just heard of Dr. Carlson's passing and I am so sad to hear this. I was a patient of his for about 15 years and I liked him very much. What a great guy and so gifted. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his whole family. -- Dave Herman, Seattle
Curt was my cousin. As my brother Tom said, I thought of him as indestructable, too. He liked to give me a hard time where politics was concerned, but he always did it with a laugh. I will miss him, just as I miss his sister and his parents. We all had some great times together. My condolences to Dona, Jenny, Gina, Eric and their families. As I told Jenny, I'm glad he was able to have some time with his first grandchild, Jonah. I'm sure he will grow up hearing lots of stories about his Grandpa Curt!
Dr. Carlson was an amazing orthodontist and periodontist and a true joy to work with! I was saddened by the news of his passing but know he is telling stories and making everyone smile in heaven!
I wish I had had the opportunity to know him more. I knew him through my friend, Dave, where I very much enjoyed his friendliness, great humor, and wonderful BBQ salmon. He is a great loss to the dental community.
Curt was my first cousin, My best recollections of Curt go back to our childhood, growing up in Rockford, Illinois. I'll never forget his quick wit, his playfulness and his overall zest for life. He would spontaneously do crazy things that would make me laugh. It's hard for me to believe that he is gone; he seemed so indestructible. I only wish we had the opportunity to see each other again in out later years. But in my mind, he will always live on.
Such a profound loss. You were such a great orthodontist and person. You always remembered little things about my husband and me. It is shocking to hear such a vital, funny and kind person is no longer with us. You will be missed by many.
The best of dentistry and friendship for many years. We will all miss your great laugh and smile but you are not forgotten. Condolences to your family and staff. See you again with our Heavenly Father.
Curt - Thank you for always sharing the home during the family gatherings. Your smile and humor will be remembered. May you rest in peace. Love, Ryan, Britton, Paxton and Cheyenne
My heart goes out to Dona and the children. Curt was a "larger than life" individual who will leave a void in the lives of all he touched. May peace and comfort come upon his family at this difficult time.
Dear Dr. Carlson, you're a great man and will be sincerely missed.
My deepest condolences to Dr. Carson's family and friends. He was an awesome Orthodontist, a wonderful, warm person. He has heard "Well done, good and faithful servant." My prayers go out for his family and co-workers.
I learned so much from my Uncle Curt, who always lived life to the fullest. Thank you for all of the love, memories and life advice, Uncle Curt! Love - Chris & Lisa
Curt was an amazing host to myself and my husband when we visited his daughter in the Seattle area. He had a fun, vibrant, easy way about him and he knew how to have a good time. Made people feel comfortable. And he DID offer us his amazing smoked salmon which has not been beat by another since! Curt will most certainly be missed and I hope his family can find some solace in the love and support from others during this time. Xoxo Aaron and Jennifer Gette; SF, CA
You were a great doctor and a better person. I will always remember your smiling face and a big laugh greeting me when I entered your office. Rest in peace and enjoy the endless sushi platter. You will be missed but not forgotten.
