John was a very special person who truly lived life to the fullest. He had a wonderful life with Sophia, who was a real gem, and will be missed. He was a real addition the the Seattle community as the family has written. Now he is with Sophia in a great place!
Condolences to the family.
We are thinking of the entire Doces family…much love and good wishes.

We were sad to hear of Gus's death. He and Sophie were Koumparos at our Wedding in Palm Springs. Gus was a wonderful man with a heart of gold. Our condolences to the Doces family. May his memory be eternal.

Dear Doces Family:
We are saddened to learn of the passing of your Dad, truly the Doces family Patriarch. What a wonderful human being who lived a full and generous life. It was our family's privilege to have known your Dad since the 1950s in Laurelhurst where we all grew up as kids. What idyllic times those were. Most recently I visited with your Dad at his beloved home on 55th Ave NE, where he would entertain friends with stories, a good cigar and a game of dominoes. To the end of his life, he lived and celebrated it with elan and gusto.
His love for his children was so genuine as was his love for the University of Washington, his Alma Mater. Please know that those of us who knew 'G John" are better people for having been in his always enthusiastic presence.
May his loving spirit soar with eagles and be reunited eternally with your Mother.
