How sad that we never connected after PLU. Congrats on the medical school; no one worked harder than you did to achieve that MD. You will be forever in my memories, especially in those conversations in the dorm rooms. I am sorry that I did not hear of your memorial service; you can be sure I would have been there, thinking that you would have found some was to astound every one in attendance. God bless your memories and all your work. As an added note, my daughter Liz is just starting a masters program in gerontology; you and her would have had some marvelous conversations.

A toast to one of the best classmates I knew at PLU.

Janice, is my cousin. The cousin that I only got to meet a couple of times. Once in Sweden and once in Seattle. I´ve always felt a special connection to you. My father, Karin Bensons youngest brother, felt the same about Karin. You where a person I really would have loved to know a little bit more. We could have had fun and interesting discussions together, that I´m sure of. We all miss you. Marit Jonasson

Janice will be missed in so many ways. Her love for her daughter Britta and how very proud she was of her. One of the most compassionate person I have ever known! Always thinking of others. She loved to garden, walk her neighbors dog and always was their in times of need for others. You will be missed by all.
Hugs to you and to your family at this time.

Janice I will miss talking to you on the 3 day training walks. I will always remember you for the in depth discussions we had while walking, about the medical field all over the world. What impressed me so much was that you had visited South Africa and how much you loved my home country .
I will always remember how I used to pick up your water bottle whenever it fell out of your backpack behind you or when you left it behind at a pit stop. I will always admire you for your determination and tenacity that you displayed on those training walks and also at the 3 day events.
My condolences to your family during this very sad time . We are going to miss you Janice.
I am sorry I will not be able to attend your memorial on Saturday.

Jan was a wonderful doctor and colleague. She was already well established at GHC when I arrived, and was recognized as the kind of doctor we would all wish to have for our own family. I ran into her in the NCCU at Harborview where I now attend a few years ago. She had come to visit an old patient of hers who wound up there. Jan was great friend and a fine woman.
