Richie, there are simply no words to describe the shock and grief of Karlynn's passing. We meet many people in life, but she was such a special person. She made everyone around her feel loved and cared for. She loved her family and friends with a tender grace. Hold tight to each other, remember her precious gift of acceptance, and know that God gives strength to the weary. Thinking of you, Elisa and Jeff
I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. I met Karlynn back at Finishing Touch with her mom and we became friends over many years. Watched her boys grow in photos over the years; she was so proud of you all. Karleynn was special to many; she will be missed greatly.
Rich and boys the service was beautiful. Thank you for allowing Ron and I to come and grieve for the loss of Karlynn. Her and her family was definitely a part of our early/growing years. I learned alot from karlynn and Jan as a new hairdresser and a young newly married couple. In fact we had Tyler in our wedding. We remember all the fun parties, girl talk in the salon. Good memories.
Ever since I first met Karlynn her family, children, husband were always number one.what a good example to young mothers everywhere. I know she will be missed by everyone. But I also know Jan will be so happy to be with her (they were the closest mother and daughter). We pray for you and the boys. Karlynn will always watch over you and the boys.
God Bless Evans Family

I have known Karlynn since she started at Beautiful People, following in Jan's steps. I met Jan about 1966 and have been able to keep in touch with what was going on with all the family. It was a s to hear from Mary of Karlynn's death. My heart and prayers go to all your family. She will be greatly missed. I saw her just a week before her very untimely death. Just remember all of your family is in so many people's prayers. I will truly miss her. Walta, Redmond
To Leon, Rich, her brothers and sons, may she rest in peace. My heart goes out to you all.
Always a thoughtful and caring person, your Karlynn "Ma" Howard will be missed by many. I felt lucky to have worked with both Karlynn and Jan, to be part of the Finishing Touch Family. So sorry for your loss of such a Great Lady!

Rich, Ty, Brian and Dan,
I am so very sorry for your sudden loss.
It was wonderful to see her, and all the Hogs last summer at Steve and Jana's reception. Am so grateful now for that opportunity.
Visiting with her then reminded me of the many fun times we shared years ago sipping Jim Bob's kamikazes by the pool - hoping that a softball game victory wouldn't interfere too much with our tanning and relaxation:)
Karlynn remains in my memory as one of the most forthright, honest and caring people I've had the pleasure to know. She could be frighteningly ferocious and limitlessly compassionate - sometimes simultaneously.
She will be missed by so many. My prayers are with you all.
Rich, Ty & Family, Brian and Dan,
So sorry for your loss.

Ma, I can't believe this. The world became a little darker when Kyle called to let me know. I will never forget the trout and the conversations.
Goodbye to everybody's favorite girl - we miss you already. The Inglese Family in San Francisco
Ma was an amazing woman! Lord knows she had to be in order to keep up with 20 or so boys in and out of her house with their guests in tow! We have had many amazing memories at the Howard household and will miss the many more that Ma won't get to be a part of. While the world lost an amazing woman, heaven gained another angel! We love and miss you ma!
God bless the Howards in this time of sorrow. Our prayers are with you.

Our dear friend Karlynn "KJo", You will be forever always in our hearts. We will help Rich and family through their time of loss as we feel the loss ourselves. She is so preciously loved in our hearts.
Love to all the family forever,

Ma was unlike any other. She was witty, charming and most of all caring. There was always an open door at her home and she loved her sons and her family very much.
She will be missed and never forgotten.
Rest in peace and may God bless you, your family, and friends!
Rest in peace and may God bless you, your family and friends!
Karlynn will truly be missed. I'm glad we had the opportunity to work with and know her for the last few years. She left us to soon. She was ma, helping me with my math and correcting my thesis papers. I will miss you dearly Karlynn. Rich our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your kids. Her grandaughter was her pride and joy!

'Say not in grief 'she is no more'
but live in thankfulness that she was'
To all of the family she was the best. She became my best beautician I have ever had. We spent the whole time bring me up to date on her family. She loved them with all her heart and that new granddaughter with more.
Always remember the good and fun times. Love to all of you!!!!!!
We loved Karlynn and already miss her deeply. Throughout the thirty five years of seeing her monthly at the salon, she became a special friend, confidant, and sister to Tom and me. She worked hard to be the kind of wife and mother that her family could count on, doing everything from the finances to oversight of home repairs. And she worried so much about her kids and her husband. She carried all the stress of the world and struggled with the weight of the responsibility. We had many many talks about how to live in the midst of challenges, knowing what needed to be done and asking for help. She tried to have the strength and will power to endure, yet keep the character she learned primarily from her mother's example. I know she did her best to adapt and did what she could to manage. In the end, I believe she did keep the fineness of character and nobility of manner that she strove for and continually delivered an everlasting heart full of love. She taught me acceptance, patience and frugality. No one on Earth could manage a budget with the efficiency that she could. Her legacy is her love for her family and the foundation she set for their future. I wish she was still here. I feel like I have lost my sister and I can't imagine what we will do without her.
Rich and family...We are thinking of you, and wishing you comfort.
Lonnie and Jaime Ruchert.
You left much too soon. You are now an Angel who will forever watch over your family and friends. Rest in Peace, Karlynn
During my time in the Marine Corps, Christopher Tilley would talk about your family like they were his own. I knew Tyler before I'd ever met him. The day that I had the privilege to meet Tyler face-to-face, it was as if we'd been life-long friends. The Howard boys are one of a kind and I know, in my heart-of-hearts, that Karlynn (Ma) would have welcomed me into her family like one of her own. I never had the opportunity to meet her, but I am proud to call one of her boys my friend.
My condolences go out to the Howard family. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
Rich and family, I'm really sorry for your loss. You know that Karlynn will be watching over all of you and yours.
Rich, we were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of your wife, Karlynn. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. May your treasured memories of her comfort you at this difficult time. Susan & Gary
