Condolences to the entire family. Kurt was an original. He will be missed by so very many. Love,O'Neill D. Louchard, Port Townsend, WA
I was so sorry to hear of Kurt's passing from Bette. He was always one to say what was on his mind and for me that was great because I could never read between the lines. You two were so lucky to find each other early in life and continue that love throughout. My sympathy goes out to you and your family.
I loved so many things about Kurt. I loved his passion for his family, his life and his art. I loved how authentic and caring he was - consistently. That I could count on him to be exactly who I knew him to be in every moment: fully present, radically honest, so fun and so compassionate. I loved feeling how he cherished you Margaret. He Loved you so deeply, so absolutely. He celebrated you - in his art and in his heart. Being in the presence of that special bond between you so inspired me. Kurt was a man of heart and passion and what he was clearly most passionate about was Margaret, Elsebeth, Henry and Ivy. I miss him. The whole world misses a man like that. And in this moment I'm grateful for his words "I'm glory bound!" because it brings to mind how I will remember him; his enthusiasm and that knowing smile. Love to you all, Jimmy
Dearest Margaret, Bette sent me Kurt's obituary and I am so very very sorry to hear of his death. My love and prayers are with you and all your family. It was so wonderful to see you both a few years back, and I hold memories of you two very closely. Much love, Cindy Liebman
A virtual candle now, a real one to follow, along with prayers and much love in your time of sorrow. I always picture Kurt with that mischievous smile on his face - he, and that smile, will be missed!
Margaret, Barry and I are so sorry to hear about Kurt's passing. We will see you tomorrow at the church to share hugs and great great memories.

We are friends of Julia Rouse and have so loved hearing about Kurt. Sending our condolences.
Margaret, words seem so limited in this context. You two lived your life together fully and with great heart. That's all there is to be done. Sending courage and love for your heart.
With so much love, suza
Adelyn and I are very sorry for your loss. I didn't get to know Kurt very well but remember chatting with him, at a Christmas meal, at your house. He seemed so kind, funny, caring, and intelligent, I can't imagine the loss you are feeling. I pray God will comfort you and your family in this time of need.
Margaret--- so sorry to hear about Kurt. My thoughts are with you, your children, and grand daughter. With love, Patty McGinley (Emilie's friend)
I don't have much more to say than has been said already. Kurt was a real person that always told the truth, to hell with the consequences. I will miss his fantastic stories, his wry wit and his excellent mandolin skills.
Kurt always had something interesting to say. He was so incredibly knowledgeable! And so creative and talented. It was so much fun doing my songs at their lip synch shows with his help. I particularly remember his roping me in and his antics on "Different Drum". I am happy to have the video with him hamming it up! Great host and cook for their old big dinners! I will miss him, quirky Kurt!
