We are so sorry to hear about Leona; unfortunately we learned of her death via Red's obituary! Please accept our very belated sympathy. We are shirt tail relatives. Dennis is Clarence Johnson's son (Clarence was brother to Dora) I am Doris his wife, and I am gradually working on family history, so don't be surprised if I try, sometime, to connect with you further. Blessings.

Many good memories of Lee at gatherings at the Fulcher's house. She was very involved with Joe & Dorothy's family, including their daughter Judy, who became my wife. Of course, Bob & Lee were at our wedding. Lee was at all of the wedding showers, baby showers, etc. She was always there for both Dorothy and Judy. She was the very definition of a good friend. She and Dorothy Fulcher remained very good friends for the rest of their lives.

Mark, Gary, Lynn; I'm sorry to hear about your mother's passing. She was an elegant lady with a refined personality, kind of an interesting counterpoint to your dad--both very cool but different! I have great affection for them both. My mom was very fond of Lee in the later years (when they were both widows), and your dad was a great, great friend to my dad--coincidentally, I recently found a cache of my dad's old slides and started scanning them and came across the one I have included, I think I may have actually scanned it the day your mom died. But it shows them thoroughly enjoying each other's company, and though the technical quality sucks I do love the picture, and I'm actually kind of happy that I have this chance to share it with you. As you know my mom, dad, Judy and Doug are all gone. I'm close to Judy's kids and Wanda has a great and loving family but I tell you, I just miss them very much. I occasionally cruise the old neighborhood, and mom's house still looks pretty much as she left it. I hope you are all healthy and happy and doing well. I'm retired about four years and babysit our first grandchild two days a week. Again, you guys, my sincere condolences.

Mark, Gary & Lynn - Our sincere sympathy in the loss of your mother and our cousin. She
was a special person. We especially appreciated how she never missed sending our mother (Dora's sister, Esther) cards for every birthday and Christmas. In spite of living so far away, she remembered the home folks! Blessed be her memory.
