This is the first time I have been able to come onto this site and have read the condolences to Corey and our family and I realize, this first time I was able to read his obituary.
Corey's funeral was probably the most spiritually draining yet profound, uplifting experience of my life in ways and for reasons I will never be able to express. I am generally at great peace with the matter, but there are times my heart aches so terribly. It may seem so small, but the kind words of love and care packages sent in Corey's honor give me a peace and simple assurance that make me so very grateful. Our family has suffered tremendously; my children (oldest in particular who is old enough to remember his relationship with Corey) and especially my parents. Words fail me, and I'm useless when it comes to emotional matters. But I love you so much Corey. Our military, out country and this entire world, I love so tenderly. I know you are ok. We are all ok.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and to also let the Garver Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in Afghanistan. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one, US Army Sergeant Corey E. Garver. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I'm sorry we didn't find it. But you live on with me everyday.
