I met Jean a few years ago at Earthdog trials in British Columbia and saw her frequently both there and at Jean Deiden's on Whidbey Island over the years. Always sensible - always humble - always willing to help out a dog lover/owner esp. us Border Terrier lovers! She will be so missed! I'm looking at the picture to the left with tears in my eyes - can't believe she is gone - much too soon! :-(

Jean was my first obedience instructor at the Magnolia Community Center with my first dog whcih was a mix breed. She was very supportive of my journey into the world of showing dogs in Obedience and was always there for any help that I needed. Jean was one of the people that was influential in me deciding with getting an English Cocker when I decided to start showing at AKC Shows. Jean was a woderful person and friend. I will miss her very much.

Jean judged advanced obedience for many years for our 4-H kids at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe. She was always such a fair and consistent judge and was so kind to the kids. We will all miss her.

Jean was a wonderful, kind person to everyone she met. She was supportive of my journey into AKC Obedience, Rally and Agility competitions. I enjoyed teaching her in Agility Classes with her dog JD. Jean was full of stories about the dog world and we shared many a day in the Argus Ranch Arena or outside under our tent competing in the sport of dog agility. She never was negative and always had kinds words for everyone. Jean is gone to Heaven, she will be missed, but not forgotten. Thanks for the memory's.
