John Jimenez Obituary

John W. Jimenez

John W. Jimenez was born on February 9, 1950 in Seattle, WA. He spent most of his youth in the Beacon Hill neighborhood and attended Franklin High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran and upon his return, fought for equal rights in the construction trade as part of the United Construction Workers Organization. John joined Local 302 Operating Engineers Union and ran tower cranes for most of his career. He loved cooking Filipino food, gardening, and especially spending time with his 3 grandchildren. John went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 4, 2015. John was diagnosed with cancer and he fought a good fight for over 8 months. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day." (2 Timothy 4). He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne of over 40 years, his son Roland Pineda, his daughters Elizabeth Rideau (Andrew) and Elana Jimenez, grandchildren; Andrew Rideau II, Solomon Rideau and Sophia Rideau, brother Steve Jimenez (Sylvia ), sister Laura Jimenez (Michael Maynard), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We will be celebrating his life and his 65th birthday on Monday at 5pm, February 9, 2015 at:
