Katalin was a colleague of my husband (Laszlo Nadasdi) at Neurex Corporation, we became friends in the late eighties. We visited each others homes for dinner, enjoyed dinners together at good restaurants over the years. She created a fantastic interior in her home, everything selected and arranged carefully. We also went to the Symphony with her, she loved classical music. She was an avid reader and conversation with her was always wonderful. We also met her children, although we spent more time with her daughter. The last time we saw her a few years ago was at her daughters house on Mercer Island.
Katalins life was always about her children and grand children, she was very involved with everything and caring. She spent many years taking her kids to school and other acivities, then in later life babysitting the grand kids.
She also knew our children, grand children and our beloved puli dog Fustike. When Fustike died in 2010 and our son came up from LA to be with us, Katalin came too in spite of the fact that she was a little uneasy about dogs.
It is always hard to lose a friend,
She will live in our hearts!

My husband and I knew Katalin for only a short time during Peter's marriage to our daughter, Candice. She was a vibrant woman, so courageous when she escaped the war in Hungary but kept her sweetness and wonderful smile. We had lunch together as often as we could when we were in Seattle and it was always a time full of laughter and delight! She was so full of love for her children and her grandchildren, and they gave her the security and warmth she so deserved in her later years. We will miss her. And I especially will miss our joke that we would never go out without our pearls on. What a lovely lady she was! Lauri and John McCoy
