Godspeed to the best supervisor I got to work with at the post office. You will be truly missed
January 6, 2013
To Buzz, Bret & Jade, Joni & Parents,
Lorraine was my Supervisor up until I retired in 1992. She loved her family very much. She will always be remembered for her love of life & her laugh.

We will keep you All in our Prayers.

Jade, Brett and Buzz and Joni – I am so sorry here of Lorraine's passing.

Jade, I remember the blue dress your Mom was wearing at your wedding – she was beautiful. I remember here driving us in the white Mazda. I remember how excited you were when she brought you to New York, and you guys saw the friend's place with the cool stereo gear. You Mom continual positive disposition - I never heard her say a negative word about anyone. When I lived in Seattle, I like being able to stop by anytime unannounced to say hi to your family. I think of the milestones for me (the tree stumps in the backyard, the red Irish setting looking dog, the pool going in, the hoop being set up) and how much fun that much have been for both your folks to provide these things for you and Brett as well as the family and the friends. I remember hearing the story, not sure if it's accurate, of her encouraging your Dad to purchase a car other than the red two door he brought home from a test drive (Porsche?) – so some practicality there as well ?! She was very supportive of you both and your Dad, and I know that she is with God looking down on the family and smiling. She is in a better place, and back to her positive self and how she would want to be remembered! All my thoughts are with you guys. Joni, I only met you a couple times, but you and your sister seemed to get along really well – more like schoolgirls. It's good to see a positive example of siblings. I am sorry for this loss for you? Brett, as the baby of the family, it can't be easy; but you have your Dad, Jade and family and friends, as well as your wife and beautiful little girls. Buzz, I admired the way you worked with Lorraine when I visited last a few years back. You were very “roll with the punches” and supportive guiding her in the right direction, allowing her to say hi to Brett on the phone, and then heading back to rest. She was positive then, kind of laughing as well. I think a spouse could only be pleased to know their husband would do everything to have the proper care as is humanly possible. It could not have been easy; it must have been hard in many ways, ways that you protected Lorraine, protected your boys from the pain, and the brunt that only a husband could take on for the love of his wife. In a way, kind of like Job from the bible; testing the man until the man can't be tested no more. I admire your courage, I feel for your loss, I pray for Lorraine and you, and that you can find peace for her, for the boys, and mostly, for you. All my best!
