Marty was my counselor at Shoreline Community College in the 90's. He was so good at helping me plan out my classes and career. I loved his sense of humor and his eye contact when speaking with me. I recently called the college to reconnect with Marty only to hear of his passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Marty loved many and many loved him in return.

I will always remember Marty's sense of humor and gift of making you feel like you were the most important person in the world when he was talking to you.
I will always treasure my family's trips to Entiat and the hundreds of gallons of gas he used teaching me to waterski.
He did, however, get us to clean the boat by throwing Joy dish soap in the water and telling us to JUMP FOR JOY!!!!
Love and miss you Marty. GO DAWGS!!

I am the daughter of Emma Olson Temte. We just moved back west having spent 40 years working and living in the DC area. Marty sounds like a cousin I would have enjoyed knowing. My prayers are for your family at this time.

I first met Marty when he officiated at my daughter's theme wedding in Fort Columbia in 2011. He wore an aviator's hat, and laughingly enjoyed the ceremony with all of us. Our family has enjoyed knowing him during visits to Seattle. His smile and friendliness has always been a blessing whenever we met. He will truly be missed.
