My heart is deeply broken to read of Pesky's passing. I am so grateful to had met up with her Frank a few short years ago and catch up after too many years had passed. As a life long friend of Elaine's the Moore family home was a second home and family to me in childhood. I was always warmly welcomed, greeted and treated with great love and respect, the parents all of the neighborhood kids dreamed of! I can not find enough words to express my sadness to Frank - I LOVE YOU SO DEARLY!! Patrick, Brian, Maggie and your families. Losing my mother as well earlier this year my heart is draining.

I always marveled at how creative Pesky was. From the way she beautifully decorated their home to the small details on wrapped gifts, I was enthralled with her. I wanted to have a home just like theirs when I grew up. She was a very positive role model to me. Wine in hand at dinners down to lovingly walking every evening with Frank. That's what I wanted when I grew up.

I am so very honored to have been the recipient of one of her stunningly artistically created, colorful, most beautiful quilts; which hangs proudly in my home, beautifying it in a way only Pesky could.

My heart aches to have only learned of this today. I would love to hug you all. Frank, I'd love to see you if you're up to it soon.
Love to you all, you are never far from my loving thoughts.

I am truly saddened to hear of Pesky's passing. As a childhood friend of Brian's I was blessed with the opportunity to meet and get to know Pesky...not as Ms. Moore as my parents instructed me to do!

I can only guess at the amount of hours I spent hanging out at her home and being warmly greeted each and every time. I was always invited to share in their lives, their lunches and sometimes their dinners. In addition to her patience she tirelessly carted Brian and I in and around town to countless soccer practices and games as well as to the many, many trips to and from the golf course in her yellow Subaru.

Though at the time I believe tennis was her favorite sport I am glad she was patient enough to endure Brian and mines favorite sport of soccer. With her and Frank's continued support (and couching!) I was able to play soccer into college and still can be found on the soccer field today.

Over the years and have tried to emulate her dedication to her kids with my own two boys. They to are passionate soccer players and if I can accomplish just half of what Pesky (and Frank) did for me with Riley and Ian and their friends I will count that as a true victory because I now know just how hard it can be.

Frank, Pat and Brian, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. Though I never remember telling Pesky in person how thankful I was for all her efforts and her positive attitude I hope she will forgive me for being that shy kid who lacked the courage to tell her in person.

All the best to you and your families.
