Thinking back to 1965 at the Worlds Fair - Ral was warm and funny and had a very big heart

I worked for Ral for a number of years at Everett Boeing. He always played the tough guy who led by intimidation, but I always knew that underneath that Chicago persona was a big teddy bear. I got him to laugh a few times with the funny notes I sent him, and that was good enough for me. :-)

Ral was a wonderful, thoughtful man. Truly creative, bright, funny and as talented as anyone I have ever known. We met in New York working at the Worlds Fair and he could quote every line from Mel Brooks' "2000 Year Old Man"! What young girl wouldn't have fallen for that?!
I hope Ral had a happy, wonderful life as a good husband and father. I hope he was well loved and is held close in the hearts of his family and friends. The 1965 World's Fair was a very long time ago, but I still hold him close in my heart.

Ral was a good manager,an outstanding leader, and, most importantly, a good friend. I cherish his memory as will many others.
