Sharon, Chris, Eric and Families, It was a joy to have known Ray as a Fairwood neighbor and choir director. He never hesitated to seize and share the personal humor of a situation. He had us falling down laughing when he related about exhaustively putting up outdoor Christmas lights and could not get them to work. You Sharon, quietly suggested he plug them in! Success!!
We are confident he will continue to inspire and make beautiful music eternally.
Our very best to you all. Sharron & Tony Dunne

We have fond memories of knowing Ray in high school and early college years. He was a sweet and fun-loving guy. Our sympathy to his family, Gary and Gerry Eldred (formerly of Long Beach)

My name is Larry Fleming. When we moved in the 8th grade down near the traffic circle on Los Coyotes, Ray lived just one home away from us and he was the first guy I met in our new home. We became instant pals, growing up in the Los Altos area, going to church there, playing tons of basketball and baseball up thru high school and even city college. we always had a great relationship with his mom and dad. I used to call Ray, Comander Whitehead as I believe his dad was a navy man. It is hard to believe that so much time has gone by so fast! Ray was a great guy and we had a fantastic childhood. I will always remember you Ray, you were the best !!
