I was thinking about Dr.Biback this morning and so went on line only to find out he had passed away several years ago. The last time I saw him was a chance meeting in a drug store shopping whichcould not have been too long before he passed away.
Dr. Biback delivered two of my three boys. My third son was born in 1988 and at that time he was no longer delivering babies, unfortunately. He was my OBGYN but so much more than that. He was my doctor. There was not a question you could that would be considered frivolous. He always took time to answer concerns and I remember him getting a book off his shelf to show me an illustration to alleviate my fears.
Can you imagine a doctor today apologizing for being delayed five minutes for your appointment time?! That was Dr. Biback!! I still tell people about my OBGYN who told me "I do not care, Kris, if your big toe hurts. If I can't help you I will find some one who can." That was the kind of doctor he was. Kind, caring and knowledgeable describe Dr. Biback.
Between my 1st and 2nd sons we lived in Steilacoom,Wa.for 4years. After having had an ovarian cyst removed by Dr. Biback, I was having trouble getting pregnant. He decided to do some tests and told me to call him on the first day of my cycle. This turned out to be a Saturday morning and would you believe he opened his office just to do the test.
He was the best doctor I have ever had and I am so thankful for having known him.

Dr. Biback was an amazing man and I was honored to have him as my physician and proud to have him deliver my 2 sons at Northwest Hospital. He was more then just a Dr. to me...his guidance thru the years were irreplaceable. I think of him often still to this day. He is missed!

Dr. Biback delivered my first two children at Northwest Hospital in Seattle, in 1981 and 1983. He helped me through a hard time in my life, with discussions on life.

I was privileged to work with Shelly in my early days of working as a counselor in Planned Parenthood abortion services. I learned so much from him.
