Dear Thea

When lacy fern-like foliage
Our yearn for Spring assuages,

When sprouting slender sturdy stems
Grow rows of pink hearts to adorn them

And create sweet nectar bounteously
For bird and butterfly and bee,

Then spring memorializes you anew
Like bright dawn sparkling
On tears of dew.

My love to you,
Jo Roberts

My dear Thea - thank you for all the joy and friendship you shared with our family, both on the trail, and over a dinner table. Your next adventure is a mystery to us, but I have a feeling that when you arrived you said "hmmmm - this is pretty close to what I thought I might be". See you in the stars again someday. So glad to hear a date has been set for Thea's memorial and the spring is just right , rain or shine. What a talented artist and "home body" Thea was. I'll never forget her coming to writing circles, listening intently and sometimes softly going off to sleep! Fun! Her pride in her Swedish heritage was great in Finn country, too. All good wishes to all the family, especially Bob, in this season of grieving. Susan Holway
