I watched Bob Teague all the time when I lived in NY and on Long Island. He was old school journalism. He will be missed.

Bob was a dear friend and mentor during my days working with him in the 80's at WNBC. I will always remember him holding court at Hurley's.

Watched him in my youth. He was a serious Black man, doing an important job. A beautiful role model of refinement and grace in an era of exposed underwear, filthy lyrics and verbal ignorance. Let his family know many whites grew up and respected him. He set a standard. A fine Black man. Great American.
