My condolences to the Pivnick Family and Marilyn. Charlie was a great friend to my parents and family. His warmth and caring were very special to us. Charlie was particulary kind to me when he found out of an accomplishment I had made and he wrote me a letter essentially saying how proud he was of me and stated words of encouragement. On behalf of the Littmans, (Gordon, Reva, Les and Steve), may his memory be a blessing. Phil Littman

Saddened to learn of Charlie's passing.
Even though I moved far away, I often thought of him in San Francisco with hat, jacket and tie, walking around the city he loved, cheerful, optimistic, irrepressible, admiring everything, always planning and working to make himself and everything and everyone around him better. Knowing that Charlie was there, in his city, enlarged my life. As did my years of working and traveling with him. And it will always be so.

He gave me a chance to make something of myself.

Thank you, Charlie.

So sorry to hear about his passing. He was a good man and, like many others, a big influence on me when I was a young man. Rest in peace Brother Charlie.
