We met the Raskin family when they moved to Houston. Our children went to school together. Although I didn't know David for long, he truly was an inspiration. His positive outlook and upbeat personality will not be forgotten. Deanne is a remarkable person and i am still in awe of how strong you are. We miss all of you and think of you often.

I was very sorry to hear about the loss of David. We were classmates during our anesthesia residency at UC San Francisco. He was intelligent, diligent, and an excellent physician. He had many achievements, both personally and professionally, but always remained humble. As a friend he was always genuine, positive, and fun. We shared many good times together both in San Francisco and more recently, during his family vacations to Santa Barbara. He will be greatly missed.

David and I were classmates at McDonogh School for many years. Our paths have crossed several times since graduation, but not nearly enough. I just re-read what he wrote in my high school yearbook and was reminded of his positive attitude, constant smile, and the way he always made those around him feel better. His enthusiasm and spirit will be greatly missed and will inspire me to try to live life to the fullest every day.

My deepest condolences to Dr. Raskin's family. It was an honor to know him and work with him. It's hard to believe he's not among us anymore.

Our prayers to David's family. We are so sorry for your loss. Dave was such a wonderful person and gifted Doctor. Loved and dearly miss our conversations on family, the A's, and MLB.
