Returning to SF today since 27 years ago when Erik and Forrest brought myself and my brother to come out the San Francisco to spend a summer with them. My dad Danny was Eriks caddy and driver for the time he spent in Prestwick? Was just looking him up tonight and picked up this terrible news. Our condolences go to his family. the Connor's - Prestwick, Scotland

Erik, my dear brother, it is so hard to believe I will never hear your wonderful stories and tall tales again. I will always treasure those last few days together, and only wish you had been well enough to enjoy them as much as I did. Remember what I told you, "No matter where in the world we are, you are always in my heart. Always have been, always will be". Your baby sister, Saga Christina.

I had the great pleasure to work with Erik for the past two years. He was a fascinating man and I enjoyed the time spent with him. My condolences to his family and friends. I always remember his strict but kind way of teaching me to cook to his liking. What a guy! The best gift ever was to learn to embrace someone and dance...even without any music playing. Thank you Erik.

I spent many a day at "The Eagle" playing all day, listening to Erik's stories and sipping on the finest single malts in the Bay Area. He was a character; sometimes you loved him, sometimes not. A unique man.
