Spring is here and I still miss you and sailing. It doesn't seem right not looking forward to going out. I hope you are sailing everyday.
George, I won 1st Place in the 2nd Half Opener this racing season and I owe it all to you. Thank you for inspiring confidence in me to become a racing skipper! Your words always echo in my mind - :Just do it! Just get out there and sail as much as you can! Don't worry about coming in last, just sail!".
Still think of you friend. We felt you at your memorial sail. You were with us. Love you and will see you when it's time.
I miss you baca. It really sucks that we never got to sail to angel island or climb the hills again. Going to the Rainforest Cafe will never be the same. There hasn't been a day where I didn't think of you. I love you and miss you.
thinking about that good man.
Good man. Took me onboard small distance, angel island, one of those weekdays. Never will forget that erikson, the crew, and him, a silent vision guy.
Im not afraid.
He is a good man.
I know it's crazy writing to you but I know somehow you know about it. Still, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Patricia too. We miss you. I looked at Alexandria and thought of all the memories and places we sailed. Like the time we sailed to Santa Cruz. I'm not an ocean sailor. Couldn't wait to get off the boat. You touched so many lives. Your friend always, Gail
George, You are so missed by many. I met you in Hawaii in 1990 and despite my many moves and times away from you, you remained a very special friend. You were always generous, patient, helpful, understanding and never judgmental. It's been a month already and there's not a day goes by that I haven't thought of you.
You took me in and let me make mistakes on Alexandria in many races, and you taught me what it means to be a sailor. You always answered my questions cheerfully and gave me the opportunity to learn every time we were on the water. You also were the venue for me to meet and get to know a great group of sailors that are now life-long friends. Thank you for everything George. You are a good man. May your next adventure be all that you want it to be. You have left a profound mark on me and for that I can't ever thank you enough.
I will always be grateful for our time on the water.
Your old sailing buddy,
We are saddened to learn of the passing of George, but very grateful to him for his service to our country in the Peace Corps.
