Thank you for everything Howdy, you were and will continue to be an inspiration to Octet members for years to come.

I'm sorry for your loss, in the short time I knew grandpa Howdy, he has always been a kind and friendly person to us all. He is greatly missed

What an incredible 65-year journey you started our Octet on. Your spirit has always given us so much to live up to. We will miss you dearly.

We are going to miss you, Howdy. It was such a gift to be your neighbor for 16 years. I loved the instant Golden Bear Bond we had. Last night, I was looking at the Cal Songbook you bought us. Thanks again, Howdy. You are a true gentleman. We promise to keep giving Stanford the ribbing they deserve. Anna promises to keep singing and thanks you for going to her shows and making it to her Bat Mitzvah. I loved all your stories about growing up, your neighborhood. Thanks for letting us have all the lemons we wanted from your tree. I loved our conversation about being an Atheist, it almost makes me want to be one if I could be half the person you are. Lastly, we will look in on Mary. Today, the Goldbergs cry Blue and Gold tears. Roll on you Golden Bear.............
