We will all miss you Jack, and the many good times are pleasant memories indeed... Your life touched others more than you knew, and I hope God's love will keep you well and bring you peace until we all meet again.

Many of my fondest memories are of times I spent with Jack, including going on a double date to our high school prom, swimming in the Indian Ocean, and climbing Mt. Kiliminjaro. Thought we'd go on another adventure soon. I'll miss you, buddy.

I am surprised and saddened to hear of Jack's passing at such an early age. He was a classmate of my son's at St. Catherine's in Burlingame and we have fond memories of those years. My sympathy to his family and friends.

When Jack visited the Low Temperature Lab in Finland in the early 90's, I first noticed his warm personality and fun attitude about about doing a combined MEG/EEG study. John was amazingly tolerant as the test subject. It took several hours of waiting for his friend, Greg Simpson, to goop his hair up and then, John had to sit for a lng time under the dewar of the neurmagnetometer for data collection. He and Greg smiled and laughed throughout the endless process. When Jack introduced me to his mother, who visited him while he was in Finland, I really saw the depth of his kindness as Jack and I discussed what kind of tour his Mom and I might take around Helsinki. His one-minded devotion to her was even more telling about what John was about.
