Much too late to be read at all, but I have to say a brief thanks to Peter's memory, I roomed at Eliot House in 1960-61 with his friends Johnny Boyd and Jonathan Roosevelt, and we were soon joined by Peter's raccoon. It nipped but never injured us, and Peter was one of the dearest sweetest people I have ever known.

Dear Orusoff Family, Iamm so sorry to learn of Peter's passing. He took me on a trip with 2 other boys in 1962. I have the fondest memories of that trip and of Peter. Unfortunately for me I did not keep in touch and just decided to google him and his obituary came up. I am so glad to read about him and his love of animals and the environment. He awakened those interests in me and they are my guiding principles. Bless you Peter. Alex

Peter, Peter, how many wonderful years it's been since we first met in Kenya in '87, birded the Amazon and Pantanal, planted your vineyard, camped at Chaco, hiked, cooked, laughed, and enjoyed your presence so much that you seemed to be always with us. Now, an overwhelming sense of loss, but memories that will endure forever.

Finally becoming un-numb enough from the loss of a dear, dear friend to be able to try to say how saddened I am for the all-too-sudden departure of Peter. He was a light in my life and I miss his laughter, warmth, insights, and friendship.
