Mrs. Mary Loy was one of the kindest and most patient individuals I have ever known. I was a friend of her daughter, Carmen. Carmen would bring me to her home on our weekends away from the Girl Scout camp where we both worked in the late 1970s. Mrs. Loy welcomed me (and whomever entered her home) with open arms and an open heart. She gave me a place to live when I needed one, and I will always hold her near and dear to my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mary Loy's family and friends. I will never forget her kindness and generosity.
