BERNAL-Louis V. Bernal entered into eternal life on November 15, 2004 in Irwindale, California. He was born on March 10, 1927 in Irwindale to parents, Francisco and Vicenta Bernal. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Anita; daughter, Eileen (Ruben) Velasco; son, Frank Bernal; grandchildren, Ruben Louis and Alessandra Velasco; brother, Henry V. Barbosa; sister, Rose Bernal Guerrero; several nieces and neph ews, great nieces and great nephews. "Louie", a gentle man, loved by all who knew him, was a general contractor by trade. He worked tirelessly at the mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Arrow Highway and was one of the principle builders at the new church on Cypress Avenue. He had a special lifetime devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was very involved in the Senior Citizens Club of Irwindale. At the time of his death, he was serving his community as a Planning Commissioner. He was honorably discharge fro m the US Army serving in Japan. Louis will be missed for his generosity, kind ways, beautiful laugh and countless acts of kindness and charity. Descanse en paz, querido Luis. The Vigil Prayer Service will be Sunday, 3:00 P.M. at White's Funeral Home with the Funeral Liturgy (Mass) Monday, 10:00 A.M., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Irwindale. Military honors and the Rite of Committal with interment will be at Oakdale Memorial Park, Glendora. Whites Funeral Home, Azusa, assisting the family.
