What a loss for all who were touched by this fun individual. As with JJ, there was always a smile and fun to be had around this true gentleman. My sincere condolences to the family. Bapa will be missed, but I know remembered fondly.

All of us at the Oostburg Kiwanis Club remember Bob fondly. His commitment to the spirit of Kiwanis and to the people was genuine and much appreciated. He was an outstanding example of a person who walked his talk. He will be missed, but know that he is now in the presence of his Savior. Be assured he heard Him say "Well done, good & faithful servant".

My sympathies to all of you. I know Bob as a Kiwanis member. He was truly a servant leader. I fondly remember many a conversation with him about also running for Kiwanis Governor along with just spending time talking with him at Kiwanis functions. He will be missed by all who knew him. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.

Tommy: So sorry for your loss. All those years my Gerk family lived across from yours on Lincoln Avenue showed what kind of neighbor your father was. He was an honorable man, and I respected and admired him very much. Lots of memories, Tommy, about you, my brother Steve, and me as we were all the same age. Fondest memory: Kick the can on the street after dark. Do kids even play that anymore? Your dad was a pillar in Sheboygan society, and I know you will miss him as I do my dad. Take care and hope you are well! robellie.gerk@yahoo.com
