I looked out of the window and saw six Goldfinches on the one bird feeder that Roger had bought earlier this year.He would have really enjoyed seeing them on the feeder. He also bought a globe feeder which is specifically for black sunflower seeds and the finches just love this.We have also had red-winged blackbirds visiting feeders.Roger would be pleased that we look out everyday and enjoy the birds.
Roger and I used to play scrabble, on a special Franklin Mint board he had bought at one time.We were fairly evenly matched,so it was fun.He always did better than me when he was tired. If he was not too enthused about playing ,and said he was tired,I would remind him that he usually won when he was "tired".He would humor me and we would play.Talking about Scrabble,Roger bought a deluxe Scrabble board he found on E-Bay for a friend's birthday as she and I played Scrabble quite often.I liked playing with Loyce, but she must have had a special Scrabble brain as I rarely beat her,but Roger and I were more evenly matched. I told Loyce once that just as well I had Roger to play with, otherwise I would have developed a complex, about rarely winning. She thought that was funny. Now I will have to keep my ears open for anyone interested in playing Scrabble,as both Loyce and Roger are no longer here, except in memory.
