KINGS MOUNTAIN -Opal Foster Woody, 77, of 912 First Street, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at her residence. A native of Cleveland County, she was born Aug. 9, 1935, daughter of the late Howard O'Grady and Sarah Myers Foster. God has gained our precious angel we had here on earth, we loved her with all our hearts and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by one brother, Henry Foster of the home; her loving caretaker who was like a daughter to her, Trina Whitaker also many other nieces, nephews and her great nieces and nephews, Will, Austin, Nicholas, Seth, and Emily who referred to her as "Maw Maw Opal".
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Funeral Service: Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
Officiated By: Chaplain Terry Floyd and Rev. Bruce Davis
