SHELBY- Martha Lorraine Harrill, 69, of Shelby, was joyously welcomed in the Kingdom of Heaven on Jan. 11, 2014, after an extended battle against lung cancer.
A native of Cleveland County, she was a former employee of numerous local mills, a homemaker, and a proud member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian, and was proud of her accomplishments in regards to her faith. At long last, she has joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in his Kingdom.
She was greeted in the Kingdom by her parents, Rufus W. Harrill and Clara Sisk Harrill; grandmother, Carrie L. Sisk; sister, Judith Harrill Fielder; and her sons, Christopher D. Parker, Paul Thomas Harrill and Venn D. Strange.
In her departure, she has left behind her long-time companion, Paul Garrison; her dearly loved grandson, Thomas Scott Harrill of Boiling Springs, Paul "P.J." Harrill and wife Brita of Shelby, Chris Strange and Benjamin "B.J." Strange; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Harrill and Austin Harrill, both of Shelby; her beloved sisters, Mona Harrill Pruett and husband J.W., Carrie Harrill Bridges and B. Diane Harrill, all of Shelby, and Sheena Harrill Anthony of Boiling Springs; special cousins, Thomas McCoy and wife Vallery of Cherryville; special nieces, Nicole Kennedy, Tywaina Marion and Aleesha Morris; special nephews, Ronnie Kennedy, Mitchell Duane Bridges and T. Douglas Bridges; and many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston, with the Rev. Neal Effrid officiating.
Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
