Christy and I were close friends in high school but as so often happens lost touch during our college years. I remember the pharmacist we worked for telling me a story Christy had shared with him about her first week in the ER. I knew then she was going to be a great nurse, focused always on those she could help. The love and admiration shared here by those who knew her in more recent years is evident and not surprising. My prayers go out her mother, husband and children.

I am saddend by the loss of Christy. I was fortunate enough to get to work with her at Schumpert. She was an amazing person. Anderson, I worked with her when she was pregnant and then when you were born. I can remember every time she would talk about you or someone would ask about you her pretty eyes would shine like the sun. The biggest smile would come across her face. She loved you so much. I know she loved the girls the same. I ran into her some months ago and I asked about y'all. I got to see that big beautiful smile and those bright shining eyes one last time. I will alway remember her and will miss her dearly. May y'all find peace with the Lord in these trying times..

Gallegos family,I am so sorry about Christy's passing. I enjoyed our visits during many SJS school events- Christy was so easy to talk to. I also enjoyed seeing your family at church through out the years, and loved seeing all those precious Gallegos children dressed in lovely smocked outfits. A beautiful bunch to behold. I will miss visiting with Christy in the years to come. My prayers are with you all.

Prayers from my heart to you Paco. The love of family that both you Christy have is easily known by anyone that has had the pleasure of knowing you, Christy, and any if not all five of your children. Anderson, Josephine, Victoria, Louis Ann and Becca. The courage and strength shown by Christy during the past few weeks is just another example that her faith and love for the six of you was truly amazing.
God Bless you, Paco, your children, and the Holbrook's and Gallegos families. And all that were in Christy's friendship family.
