I have found Roberts sword and was wondering if the family may like to have it back? 903-819-4383
We would like to express our deepest condolences and to also let the Reeves Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

Robert visited our American Legion Post in Hebron, CT this past Memorial Day. The Post members are very proud that he graced us however briefly with his presence. We have a picture of him on our wall. While I did not enjoy the honor or actually meeting Robert, those who did stand a little taller for the experience even though they knew him only a very little. Robert is in our thoughts and prayers.

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers (email@example.com) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son and husband’s sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. I am so sorry for your loss. Our whole family will be praying for you at this difficult time. I'm sure you don't know me, but I think we are relatives. My grandfather's sister is Francis Stallcup Reeves, I believe. I probably have the generation wrong. My grandfather was John Wesley Francis from Celina, Texas, and my father is Melvin Glenn Francis. When I looked at Robert's picture, I could see a resemblance. We are so proud to be related, even distantly, to such an outstanding, heroic man. Our hearts go out to you and all who knew and loved him.
Kathy Francis & the Francis Family
My heart is heavy. Deepest sympathy and Thanks from a grateful nation.Godspeed Rob
Your family has our prayers - God Bless you and Thank you to your son for his many years of service so that my family can be free - I pray that God will comfort you Mr. Reeves in only a way that HE can.

Reeves...you will not be forgotten.
Dear Jim, You may not remember me but we worked together at Chase on the 4th floor. you were in mortgage and I was with Chase Investment services. You would come over to our "side" and we all would visit. After 911 we talked about your son the seal and how much he loved his work. I thought of you immediately when I heard two seals were killed from Shreveport, I prayed that he was not one of them. Well the rest is history. Jim I know you are proud and I know you hurt. We prayed for Robert yesterday at St. Joseph's Church. I will be sending a memorial in his honor to the Seals foundation as mentioned in the paper. Take Care.
Dear MR. AND MRS. REEVES, I HAVE HAD YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW. I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THE FAMILIES BUT I WILL BE SENDING 30 SYMPATHY CARDS TO DOVER AIR FORCE BASE TO MAIL OUT FOR ME. A FEW HOURS AGO I RECEIVED THE ADDRESS OF WHERE TO SEND ALL 30 CARDS. I "WILL NOT FORGET" THE SACRIFICE YOUR SON HAS MADE! I WILL GIVE YOU MY WORD ON THAT! AT THIS VERY "MOMENT" I KNOW YOUR SON IS SEEING THE FACE OF GOD AND THAT ALONE MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FIND PEACE IN! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!! SINCERELY, ANNE GALLIGAN
To Rob's family...After reading the story of how Rob & his friend joined the Navy together and became SEALs I wanted to express my sincere heartfelt feelings to you. I too was a Navy SEAL from 1967-1970 with 3 tours in Viet Nam. I joined the Navy with my best friend and we both became SEALS and we are both originally from Louisiana (Alexandria). I lost many friends in Viet Nam who were gallant warriors like your son was. We lost 5 in a helicopter crash the last day on my third and last tour. Having never met Rob I can honestly say I feel as though he is a kinship. To lose young men like this is overwhelming but I assure you he was doing what he loved best. I have had all the families in my prayers since this horrific event and will continue to pray for peace and understanding for your family as well as all the others. If you would ever want to contact me you are welcome to do so at email@example.com
I will be on my way to Coronado this week for the annual SEAL team reunion and this Thursday evening there will be a Viet Nam SEAL reunion where we will have a memorial for those great SEAL warriors that were lost on this operation.
My God watch over all of your family and bless each and every one of you.
My sincerest thoughts for you all,
Dear Jim and family...We are praying for you and your family at this time. May God be with each of you in a very special way and may His ever abiding love be evident as He comforts your hearts and fills you with the peace that only He can give. In Christian love, friendship, and sympathy...becky and eddie newton...Hebrews 13:5
Dear Jim and Emily, I extend my most sincere sympathy to you both in your tragic loss of Rob. Though I only knew him as a small boy, I remember how cute and curious he was then when I would carpool with Sherri. Jim, as you may remember, I also know the pain of losing a child too soon. I pray that God will give you comfort, peace and strength in the days ahead as you grieve Rob's loss and joy as you cherish fond memories and celebrate a life well lived. Love, Lynn
Words cannot express how sad we are for the loss of your son. If not for courageous men like Rob, America would not be America. We are praying for him and all the SEALS, as well as the entire military. His sacrifice, and yours, is so great that it's hard to put into words, but we all are free and better people for what your son has done for us. God Bless you and your family in this time of tragedy, and God Bless America.
Jim and Emily - you remain in our thoughts and prayers. Rob will be missed dearly and never forgotten! Amy
To the family of Robert, I was so saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. God bless you all.
Jorene Keeling Williams
Dear Emily and Mr. Reeves,
I was so saddened when the news hit Ohio. I remember the handsome, gregarious, athletic and humorous boy Rob always was. Thank God he has an ever-present angel to show him the way in Heaven. Peace be felt with you on earth.
I was very saddened by the loss of our servicemen, especially the SEALS, but devastated when I learned that Rob was the son of a Navy shipmate of mine. I served with Jim (Boomer) on the Enterprise back in the 60's and we were close friends. It seems that Rob had the same personality as his father. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep Rob and his family in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest condolences to Jim and your family.
John Mills ( R Division USS Enterprise )
As the Mother of two soldiers and has gone through three tours of duty with them, I am so heart broken for your family. As military families, we hope for the best but steel ourselves for the worst. My heart goes out to you and yours, these are the finest of men and women, to lose just one makes all of America cry.
My deepest heartfelt sympathy is with you all.
"Navy Seals" -Strong, intelligent, elite, hero, untouchable, best of the best, invincable, tough, extensively trained, hardened....These are the thoughts that come to my mind when I think of a Navy Seal.
I went to school with the Reeves until my junior year. This is heartbreaking. I give thanks for Robert protecting his country.
Aimee Evans Dugdale
My condolences to de Reeves family. I was very saddened to hear the news of so many lives lost during this mission. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to the family of such a brave young man that gave his life so that others may have peace.
Soon no one will have to give their lives so that others may live. Isa 2:4 ...Nation will not lift sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.
My condolences to the family and may God give you strength during this very difficult time for your family.
God bless and be with you at this time of sorrow. we are so sorry for your loss.
mr reeves and emily, my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. i was devastated to hear the news from my mother. i too am stationed in va and wish i had known we were so close. i have fond memories of rob and all that he was always getting into during my short time of living next door. you two are in my thoughts and prayers along with your brave son that i'm proud to have known.
Although words cannot begin to adequately express my sympathy for your loss, do know that my heart and prayers go out to the family of CPO Robert James Reeves and all of the other military families that have lost love ones in our current military conflicts. My first husband is still MIA in Vietnam and my oldest son was KIA in the first Gulf War. Although the feelings of sorrow will never diminish, do realize the wonderful memories of the times you had with him will gradually ease the pain of your loss. It won’t be easy, and there will be times you will find yourself crying, but you will survive and things will get better and eventually return to nearly normal. And always remember, the best way to honor his sacrifice is for each of you to live your lives to the fullest; for I’m certain he would have wanted nothing less.
I just read another post saying hundreds of people in his hometown showed up for the memorial service. This is so wonderful; the men that served in Vietnam didn’t get this recognition. I also want to commend and thank the citizens of Shreveport who took the time to honor their fallen hero with their presence. I know this must have meant a lot to his family.
Dear God, please bless CPO Reeves’ entire family and provide them with all of the strength they will need to endure this terrible burden and to be able to continue living the happy and productive lives he would have wanted them to enjoy. We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thank you for protecting our country the United States of America. We will never forget.
God bless you in this tought time of the loss of your son. I pray that you get through it well. Keep your head up high and remember the good times.
Sending the family sincere condolences at this time of great grief.
I never knew Robert but we have many mutual friends. I knew Jonas and his family and understand they were friends. I would have been there today but am in Florida on a long planned family vacation. We have thought and prayed for your family every day. I have told my four children about what happened and shed our tears into the ocean for our brave fellow Shreveporter. My children have asked many questions about sacrifice and sorrow that are mature beyond their years. We have thought of Robert Jonas and the others every day. I told them like so many of our family and friends they risked all so might have this great nation. Our family will always remember and honor Roberts sacrifice. I can not imagine the loss of one of my children but only hope you all can continue to derive joy from life as I am sure Robert would have wanted you to. My young sons want to serve one day and will put my fear aside because this place is worth fighting for. My heart goes out to you and only hope that this nation can live up to Roberts sacrifice.
I’m a DAV from ‘Nam and the father of a fallen soldier in Desert Storm, so I understand the pain being felt by the family of CPO Robert James Reeves and extend my sincere condolences to those he left behind. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, and will be hailed a hero by the citizens of this country for as long as there is a United States of America. Although I never had the honor of meeting CPO Reeves, I proudly extend a salute to this brave man. Thank you, my brother, for making the ultimate sacrifice while so proudly serving and defending our country, now RIP.
Also, I read that hundreds of people around and in his hometown have turned out to honor this man, so I want to thank the citizens of the Shreveport area for recognizing the sacrifice made by this man. Our fallen heroes deserve no less.
I hope your family can sustain such a loss! Another life lost....my condolenses!
I did not know u are your family, however, i read about u and the others in the USA Today and i wept, may God keep and forever bless your family. How proud we are of u.
God Bless you in this time and may His peace abound.
I pray your family will feel the presence of the Lord today and that you will draw strength and hope as you trust Him to be your comfort. We are blessed because of your loved one’s service to our country.
I knew Rob for a few years when we both were living in San Diego, and here's what I remember: If Rob was in the room, I was laughing. Period. What a memorable guy. I hope the grief of his passing is made easier to bear by knowing how many people will smile when they think of him and hold his memory in the light.
How proud you must be to have a son who was willing to give his
life for our freedom. We have a good friend who lost his son last
year in Iraq. We are so grateful for all the young men and women
who serve and those who pay the ultimate price for our freedom.
Our prayers and thoughts are with your family. May God be near
and give you peace. ---an American friend

Your loved one paid the ultimate price ~ his life. For him and others like him, we should thank God and offer our prayers for your continued faith.
Rob was the most precious little boy with his brown curly hair and big brown eyes. I loved being his K-4 teacher at St. Mark's. He was good as well as fun! I am so proud of all he did for his country.
I know your loss is great. May you find comfort in all your special memories. You will always have him in your heart as I have him in mine.
To the Reeves Family:
Your grief is overwhelming, and your loss is great, but as an ex-navy vet you have my sympathy and prayers. He was one of the best of the best and is a great loss to us all. May God bless you and keep you in your time of need and after.
Having not known your Rob, he certainly sounded like the kind of American each of us could only hope to be. Obviously he had his priorities in order and lit up the world with his robust personality. What a legacy he has left his family! God grant you peace in your time of grief and remember HIS love is limitless.
my prayers are with your family during this time of ultimate sacrifice. my son, too, chose the navy as his profession - he is a seabee. your son's sacrifice has had a profound affect on him. he is currently deployed in kuwait,so speaking with him is mostly thru facebook. his postings since robert's sacrifice have been on a more mature level. please know how much your sacrifice has made positive impressions on our youth. i know words dont help - i lost my father in vietnam 46 years ago - but know you will continue to be in everyone's prayers!
I do know know the Reeves Family. However, I am a citizen who enjoys many freedoms....many that have been fought for by brave soldiers. May God Bless you all now..you are in the thoughts and prayers of many.
We are a thankful family today. Why? We live in the greatest country ever, we are safe from wars on our own soil, we have the most dedicated military anywhere in the world, we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I am thankful, Mr. Reeves, for the great sacrifice Rob gave for all this. Our prayers will lift you up in the days ahead.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Robert will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
I Salute You.

Mr. Reeves and Emily,
I was watching the news tonight and heard you speaking of your son with such pride and joy in your voice. It was not until they showed a picture that I recognized that you were speaking of Rob. I hadn't heard your name until the end. I remember him as such a delightful and gregarious young man. He was wicked smart and devilishly handsome in the fifth grade which is where I knew him. I was his language arts teacher at Stoner Hill. He has always held a special place in my heart. I am so deeply saddened by the loss of such a marvelous patriot and devoted young man. I know you will carry on with pride. Please accept my sincere condolences. I will now forever have a special day that I can remember him since we share the birthdate of August 2. May God bless and keep you!
RIP CPO Reeves knowing we have successfully finished the mission. All of you are deeply missed. We will see you again, brother, when our time comes.

Rob didn't need to be a SEAL to be a hero; he had that kind of heart all along.
I am so sorry for your loss and will pray for you as you grieve the loss of this wonderful young man and warrior. God bless you.
To the Reeves family I extend heartfelt condolences and thanks from a grateful nation. May God bless you all.
Jim and Emily,we know that it has been many years since we lived next door to you'all. But, John and I were remembering hearing Rob playing basketball on many afternoons between our houses.Having a son in the USCG, we know how proud you are of Rob and his service to our country. Greg who is also a Petty Officer, dedicated his most recent training mission in Rob's honor. God bless your family.
John and Sandy Barrett
Dear Reeves family,
We are so thankful for your son's service to our country. We hope and pray you find comfort and strength in the coming days and weeks
I did not know Robert but have read the story of his incredible zest for life, service to others and his brave exploits as a Navy SEAL and would like to extend my condoleces to his family and many friends. His life was taken much too early, we can only imagine what other good things this young man could have accomplished in his lifetime. He gave his life in service to his country and I for one am truly grateful and humbled by his sacrifice. Aloha from Hawaii, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Leonard Chow
I was lucky enough to meet Rob through a mutual friend 12 years ago. I was only able to visit San Diego/Virginia once or twice a year but Rob always made time for me on those visits. Even though I didn't get a chance to know him well, I still feel like I lost a close friend as Rob had that effect on people. Our prayers are with your family.
Dear Jim and Emily,
It has been many years since we have spent time with your wonderful family, but we will always treasure knowing you all and we now share in your sorrow over the passing of Rob into the arms of the Lord and his precious mom. Rob was such an amazing young man. We appreciate his love of country, family and friends and his service to our nation May you know how much love is extending to you. God Bless.
You have given the ultimate sacrifice and now giving advice to the Supreme Commander. You are a Brother in Arms and fellow Chief Petty Officer. We, who are living, are forever indebted to you for your selfless sacrifice. You have done what so very few have had the courage to do. But we, who have served and those who understand those who have served, know that we do we what do because it simply has to be done. For that, I and my family are forever indebted to you CHIEF! Thoughts and Prayers to your family. Rest Your Oars Chief...We Have the Watch. God Almighty, you have yet another Chief and Sailor on your Staff.
With the Utmost Respect,

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to U.S. Navy SEAL Robert (Rob) James Reeves our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Rob. And to Rob it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Rob, you are a brave Navy Seal, a Patriot Warrior and a true Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,307 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Rob’s family and loved ones.
