At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. -Albert Schweitzer

I had the opportunity to learn from Ann on numerous occasions; as she volunteered for the Benton Fire District, then as my professor at LSUS and then as a friendly neighbor just down the street that always had time to listen. She encouraged me at times when encouragement was needed and am a better person for having her in my life.

Dear Bernadette, and Family. Anne made an impact on education and was a joy to those she met Wearing a stylish hat, she was a wonderful lady always charming us. In her presence, we always heard great stories. She was an Alpha Gamma Delta Sister, and loved her affiliation with the International Sorority. Also she served as VP of League of Women Voters of Caddo Bossier, and was able to give strength and honor to its positions and goals through her communication skills. Through their efforts at state council, she and Dr. Bernadette Palombo on LA LWV State Board were able to give LSU Shreveport University credits for continuing education credit (CLE). Loyally in Alpha Gam Love, Thoughts and Prayers to her friends and family. Beth Foster

Dr. Torrans was my advisor/professor at LSUS for 2 yrs. (before I changed majors.) I remember her enthusiasm for teaching, & her relaxed manner in the classroom - both things that make learning challenging material a little bit easier. She did her job well. My condolences to all her family members.

Not only was Ann a dedicated teacher but she tirelessly worked to maintain and enhance the speech pathology program. Ann was a kind, thoughtful person and I am grateful to have known her as a colleague at LSUS.

I had the pleasure of working with Anne when I worked at Chase, she always was a fabulously appreciative and wonderful client. So sorry for her loss.
