Mr. Cook was a very kind, encouraging mentor of many, and a leader we remember fondly and admire. When I think of Woodlawn, I think of those that made a great impact on my life. He is certainly at the top of my list. I know he laughs on Glory's side. My sincere sympathy. WHS Class of 1970

Our Great White Knight the hero!!

No one will ever be able to fill his shoes or wear a White suite with such style and grace. As most of us who were under the guidance of Mr.Bubba Cook know just how special he really was, and how special he thought each of us were. He was a mentor, a friend and a very special unique man who truly touched the lives of so many people.
He made sure we had some of the best times in our life at Woodlawn. He always thought the people at Woodlawn were special and even though we all came from different molds we all had a special bond that differed from the other schools around and that I feel was because of him and the love he had for us all and the school.I come from a long line of students that were at Woodlawn, from 1970-1989 a member of the Donaho family was there.Woodlawn really hasn't been the same since he retired in 1989. We all know especially me if it hadn't been for his caring and desire to see you prosper I would not have ever walked the stage, he even had me sing at our graduation which he personally made sure I achieved.

He holds a very special place in my heart, as I know he does in the hearts of so many others in this town.
To us a Legacy of his time and I'm proud and blessed to have been a part of his journey.
Thanks for the time and the love given. It didn't go unnoticed.
With Great Gratitude and Appreciation.

Dear Cook Family: There are no words to describe the huge impact that Mr. Cook had on my life and the lives of so many at Woodlawn High School. He truly was a friend, counselor and leader who was love and admired by us all. He had an energy for life and people that was contagious. He always wanted to make sure that we had all the tools needed to succeed in this life. Well done Mr. Cook. We shall meet again but until then, thank you for the memories and for sharing your heart with us all.
In Christ:
